- Tertiary qualification.
- At least 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within Fitness, Leisure and Recreation.
- Daily facility checks to ensure all areas are clean and tidy prior to and during member use.
- Conduct a weekly maintenance check and work with our facilities team to repair and conduct preventative maintenance to ensure all member areas are upkept to the highest standards.
- Ensure safe, secure and fun activities, and facilities for members and their guests within the framework of the Clubs House Rules and policies and provide training if/when there are any updates.
- Handles emergencies promptly and in person. Emphasizes prevention through training, inspection and preventive enforcement. Ensure timely Incident Report generation.
- Work closely with other ARMs to ensure that all events, activities and operations run smoothly on a daily basis.
- Supervise Activity Coordinators to ensure both Eagle’s Nest and Joe’s operations are run to a high standard including facility cleanliness and member services.
- Prepare team rosters in accordance with business flow and ensure adequate coverage to service members.
- Available on the “floor" during peak periods to ensure operations are running smoothly and members services are up to required standards.
- Maintain reasonable, professional contact with the members and their guests, cooperating with their requests when feasible, listening to suggestions and complaints, passing on meaningful information from any sources whatsoever to the Director of Fitness & Recreation.
- Motivate the team to be their best on a daily basis. Lead by example. Maximize the team as a whole and at an individual level to recognize special skill sets.
- Develop all direct reports to operate effectively and empower them to take ownership in their areas of responsibility.
- Work with the F&R Management to define clear Goals & Objective’s for all team members.
- Ensure that SOP’s have been shared and standards have been met, keeping a record of training activity.
- Ensure excellent communications and planning through weekly team meetings with minutes and daily briefings, attending monthly department meetings and weekly MOD meetings.
- Participate as a Duty Manager ensuring appropriate management presence in the operation. To follow the Duty Manager SOP.
