- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation is highly preferred
- A minimum of 10+ years of financial experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality or club industry
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Hong Kong
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders effectively
- High level of integrity, with the ability to manage confidential information
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese
Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, and treasury management
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely financial reporting
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Committee Chairpersons and their members, providing requested information as directed by the GM/COO, Treasurer, and/or President of the Club
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements to the Board and senior management, highlighting key performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulatory requirements
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Work with the GM/COO to prepare and present the annual budget
- Support the GM/COO and leadership team by maintaining strong internal controls, anticipating and addressing financial variances and communicating with the Finance Committee
- Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting to the Board of Governors and Finance Committee
- Monitor ongoing financial performance against the budget, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement
- Work closely with the department heads regarding the cost, pricing and expenses within approved percentages
- Oversee capital budget planning, allocation & management, monitoring expenditures to ensure projects remain within budget
Financial Analysis
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis including cash flow projections and cost-benefit analysis
- Recommend improvements to financial processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Tax & Audit Management
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and tax advisors
Purchasing Management
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet the club’s operational needs
- Stay informed on market trends to identify quality suppliers and competitive pricing
Costing & Inventory Management
- Establish and enforce inventory control processes and policies
Team Management
- Lead and coach the finance team to ensure effective operations while fostering a culture of collaboration and efficiency
- Evaluate and strengthen the Finance department to ensure it is structured for success
- Foster a results-driven financial culture that emphasizes excellence, accountability, and a sense of urgency
Legal Affairs and Contract Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, insurers and contractual partners while effectively managing risk and insurance matters
